George Pelletier, owner of Courtside Sports Center, is a dedicated individual with a rich background in sports and community involvement. A graduate of Wolcott High School, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Bridgeport, reflecting his commitment to education and personal growth.
George's passion for sports and community engagement shines through his extensive 20+ year involvement with the Harwinton Youth Sports Association. His remarkable contributions include coaching 9–12-year-old girls' softball for an impressive 11-year tenure. Moreover, he is the driving force behind the creation and management of the Harwinton Youth Sports Association's boys-girls 5-8 travel basketball program. His coaching leadership has extended to coaching girls' 7-8 grade travel basketball for an impressive 13 years.
Notably, George Pelletier has also taken the initiative to organize and coach the girls' U-12 and U-13 Berkshire Eagles AAU basketball program, showcasing his dedication to nurturing young talent beyond the local level.
Currently serving as the President of the Western Connecticut Girls' Basketball League, George oversees a 14-team 7/8th grade travel basketball league. His unwavering commitment to this league spans over a remarkable 11-year period, underscoring his invaluable role in advancing girls' youth basketball in the region.
